AI has scrambled the old rules of expertise. The person mentoring you five years ago may be learning from you today, and that is exactly the point.
The mentor you need next may not hold a more senior title, share your role, or even work inside your organization. They may understand the skill you want to build, the room you want to enter, the career move you are considering or the challenge no one around you has faced. And someone may already see you as that person for them.
Expect real examples, candid advice and none of the vague “just find a mentor” guidance. Together, we’ll explore how to build a circle of mentors for different needs, make an ask someone can actually say yes to, decide whether you are the right fit for a mentee and recognize when a relationship should evolve or end. You’ll begin your own ACEDS Mentorship Map and leave with one person to approach, one thing to offer and a next move to make before ILTACON is over.
