Artificial Intelligence in Legal Practice
Tools, Workflows, and Real-World Results
The 2026 ACEDS Midwest AI Series focuses on artificial intelligence tools and capabilities that are already available and being used in legal practice today. Rather than focusing on theory alone, this virtual series explores how legal professionals are weaving AI into their workflows, decision-making, and processes.
Throughout the series, attendees will hear from practitioners, consultants, technology leaders, and members of the judiciary about what is working, where there are marginal gains, and which practices are making a meaningful difference. The goal is to provide practical insight, foster collaboration, and create a space for honest discussion about the role of AI in legal work.
The series is completely virtual, making it accessible to legal professionals from all 50 states. Each session will begin with a five-minute industry update from Doug Austin, highlighting noteworthy developments and trends shaping the legal technology and AI landscape.
